Price Increase Report
The price increase report is an ongoing report of every drug costing greater than $100 for a one-month supply that has a price increase greater than:
- fifteen percent compared to the lowest WAC from the last calendar year, or
- 40 percent compared to the lowest WAC from the three prior calendar years. .
Pharmaceutical drug manufacturers submits this information within 30 days of the price effective date to HHSC, and HHSC publishes this data within 60 days of receipt.
HHSC will update the price increase report within required timeframes once manufacturers begin submitting data.
Manufacturer Activity Report
The Manufacturer Activity Report accompanies each price increase report. This report captures drugs that have either lost patent exclusivity or drugs that have received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval in the last three calendar years, and it also captures the manufacturer’s aggregate, company-level research and development (R&D) costs for the most recent year for which final audit data is available.
Manufacturers are required to submit this information within 30 days of the effective date of a price increase, and HHSC has 60 days from receipt of the report to publish the data.
HHSC will update the manufacturer activity report within required timeframes once manufacturers begin submitting data.
Annual Wholesale Acquisition Cost Report
Manufacturers report their January 1 Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) price annually. Year 2020 data is now available.
This table provides a list of January 1, 2020 WAC pricing on all United States Food and Drug Administration-approved prescription drugs sold in or into Texas from pharmaceutical manufacturers that provided information.
